SHRINE CARE CRUISER RESCUED BY FRIENDS OF THE SHRINE
On March 29,2014 the Shrine Care Cruiser traveling from Children's Hospital in Vancouver encountered mechanical difficulties near the gravel pit in the area of Lone Pine East of Grand Forks. Local ranchers John Mehmal and Chris Mehmal came to the driver's aid ; and after providing the right tools and a concerted effort, the Bus was again roadworthy - transporting its precious cargo of patients and families to their destination .
