ASSOCIATION WITH BC CHILDRENS HOSPITAL &
CARE CRUISER PROGRAM
The Shriners have long been associated with BC Childrens' Hospital and Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children.Over the past decade,the Shriners of British Columbia and Yukon have funded the Shriners Burns Unit, Shriners Orthopaedic Unit and Shriners Gait Lab at the hospitals.
Since 2001 Shriners Care Cruisers have provided transportation for physically challenged children patients and their parents to Shriners Hospitals in Portland OR for Treatment.
Since 2002 the Care Cruiser program has included BC Childrens Hospital ;Sunny Hill Health Centre & other regional hospitals including the Kootenays requiring service. Future service is in the planning stage to include Shriners Hospital for Children in Spokane Washington.
